# Landing Image Credits

## Hero and Categories

The hero reuses `farms/tournesols-cover.jpg`, Daderot's [Vegetable garden at Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Vegetable_garden_-_Mendocino_Coast_Botanical_Gardens_-_DSC02172.JPG), available under [CC0 1.0](https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/). It is illustrative growing imagery, not a photograph of a participating Belgian farm. The interface uses a responsive crop and a localized contrast overlay; the source file is unchanged.

The category strip reuses the existing tomato, egg, chicken-breast, and Gouda photographs documented in [product photo credits](products/CREDITS.md).

## Harvest Crate

`harvest-crate.webp` is adapted from [Fresh Organic Vegetables Harvest in Wooden Crate](https://www.pexels.com/photo/fresh-organic-vegetables-harvest-in-wooden-crate-33438410/) by [Tahir](https://www.pexels.com/@tahir/), used under the [Pexels License](https://www.pexels.com/license/).

Changes: background removal, cropping, and WebP compression. Original wood and produce colors are preserved; no logo is overlaid. This is representative editorial imagery, not an actual product bundle or a photograph from a participating farm. No photographer endorsement is implied.

## Mission Illustrations

`mission-farm.webp`, `mission-basket.webp`, and `mission-home.webp` are rendered from original procedural geometry created for Be-local in the [farm](../../../../design/isometric-farm.html), [crate](../../../../design/isometric-crate.html), and [home](../../../../design/isometric-home.html) studies. They illustrate the producer-to-household connection, not specific participating farms, products, orders, or delivery commitments.

The crate variants carry the canonical Terraced B and Be-local wordmark on a light-wood plaque. This branding applies only to the generated illustrations, not the harvest-crate photograph above.

Regenerate the transparent 640x480 WebP assets from the repository root with `node scripts/export-mission-illustrations.mjs farm basket home`. The exporter uses the existing Playwright and Sharp installations and needs internet access to load the pinned Three.js CDN module and, for the branded crate, the Google-hosted wordmark font. The homepage serves only the static exports through `next/image`; it does not load Three.js.

## Social Previews

The eight `social-home-{en,fr,nl,de}.png` and `social-subscriptions-{en,fr,nl,de}.png` images reuse the original mission illustrations and canonical Be-local mark. They depict the project, not available products, participating farms or active memberships. All versions include a localized prelaunch notice.

The typography uses Google Fonts' [Barlow Condensed](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Barlow+Condensed) and [Figtree](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Figtree), distributed under the SIL Open Font License. Only rasterized text is published in these PNGs; the exporter loads the fonts when run.

Regenerate with `node scripts/export-social-previews.mjs` from the repository root. Exports are 1200x630 PNGs, each under 400 KB, served without a runtime image-generation dependency.

## French Guide Illustrations

The three `guides/*.webp` files are unchanged, original Be-local bitmap exports from the owner's `be-local-ssot/packages/brand/assets/library` (the `object-shadow.webp` variants). Copied with permission on 2026-10-15; no external photographs, calendar artwork or third-party article illustrations were copied. These are conceptual product illustrations, not available products or supplier endorsements.

These self-contained snapshots are also used as 1200x1200 WebP social images for the guides. They do not change the pinned shared package version or require the sibling checkout at runtime. Update through the owning SSOT asset, then copy the new export and update these checksums.
